In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to Hallie Von Rock and her practice. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information you give us. When you fill out a form on this site, call, or send an email, we collect what you choose to share. This may include:
- Your name
- Your email address and phone number
- Your role, such as attorney, party, or employer representative

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site and its hosting provider record basic technical details when you visit. These include your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and the site that referred you here.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information through this site, and we ask that you not send it.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and follow up with you
- Check for conflicts of interest before accepting an engagement
- Schedule and provide mediation or investigation services
- Keep the site secure and working properly
- Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it
- Meet legal and professional obligations
We do not use your information for automated decision making, and we do not add you to a marketing list unless you ask us to.
Please Read Before You Contact Us
Hallie Von Rock serves as a neutral. She does not represent any party to a mediation or investigation, and nothing on this site is legal advice.
Sending a message through this site does not create an attorney client relationship or any other professional relationship. It also does not retain Hallie as your mediator or investigator. An engagement begins only when a written agreement is in place.
Messages sent through the contact form or by email are not protected by mediation confidentiality or any legal privilege. Please keep your first message general. Share only the names of the parties and counsel, the type of matter, and how to reach you. Do not include confidential case details, privileged material, or the substance of a workplace complaint.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising, and we do not give it to third parties for their own marketing.
We share information only with
- Service providers that help run this site and the practice. These include our website host, our contact management software (Zoho), our email provider, and our website support team. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
- Intake and administrative staff who help respond to inquiries and schedule matters on Hallie’s behalf.
- Others when the law requires it, such as in response to a subpoena or court order, or when needed to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person.
Some of these providers may store information on servers outside California.
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses a small number of cookies. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us see how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed most.
This site uses Google Analytics to measure traffic. It does not use advertising or retargeting pixels.
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline cookies that are not essential. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work if you do.
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. This site does not track visitors across other websites for advertising, and it does not respond differently when it receives that signal. Our analytics provider may collect information about your visits to this site over time.
Your Choices and California Privacy Rights
You may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is wrong or out of date
- Delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal, ethical, or conflict checking reasons
To make a request, email info@HallieVonRock.com or call 510.519.1018. We will respond within 45 days and may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
California law also lets residents ask whether a business has shared their personal information with third parties for direct marketing. We do not share personal information for that purpose.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you, check for conflicts, and meet legal and professional recordkeeping obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and limited access. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of anything you send us.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to Other Sites
This site may link to other websites, such as court or professional organization pages. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on the home page for at least 30 days.
